How It All Began: A Lost Recipe, A Lasting Memory

This project was born from my father’s cherished memory. He often speaks of a dish called "Kkotge-tang" (Blue Crab Stew), prepared by my late maternal grandmother. Even while battling terminal cancer, she poured her final strength into cooking this stew to welcome her future son-in-law—my father—when he first came to visit.

To my father, that stew wasn’t just a delicious meal; it was a profound gesture of love. Sadly, she passed away shortly after, and her special recipe was lost forever, leaving only that single, unforgettable memory in his heart.

"Every flavor holds a story, and those stories bridge people together."

I believe food is perhaps the warmest medium through which we connect with one another. <Seasoned with Love> was designed to follow the narrative of food to record our memories, thoughts, and deepest emotions.

  • What is an unforgettable dish in your life?

  • What is a meal you would love to cook for someone you cherish?

It doesn’t have to be a "grand" story. I’m looking for the small, ordinary, and sincere moments that come to mind when you think of that food.

My Grandfather’s Story

My grandfather, who was the other person who remembered the taste of that grandmother’s crab stew, passed away this past Christmas Eve. Fortunately, I was able to record his food stories through this project, and those records have become an irreplaceable treasure for me.

Would you join me in this journey to make the world a little kinder and more interesting through your memories?

I look forward to the possibility of hearing your story. If you are interested in participating or have any questions, please feel free to contact me at any time.
